Leeds Building Society takes more space to accommodate growth
The society has moved 250 colleagues from its head office on the corner of Albion Street and The Headrow, to new premises in City Exchange, a short walk down Albion Street.
This additional 17,000 sq ft increases the mutual’s total office space by almost 20 per cent and frees up room in head office for new colleagues joining the business.

Hide AdLeeds Building Society created more than 100 new jobs in 2013 and in 2014 and is aiming for a similar number during 2015, after continuing to build its membership, savings balances and mortgage lending to record levels.
The society currently employs more than 1,100 people, with around half that number based in offices and branches in the Leeds area.
The move by five head office teams - mortgage lending, mortgage services, investment services, business support and contact centre - to City Exchange will enable refurbishment work to progress at head office.
“I’m pleased that colleagues have been settling in well to the bright, modern offices at City Exchange in the heart of Leeds city centre,” said Karen Wint, the operations director.
“In our 140th year, we continue to look ahead to the future of the business and are finalising our office accommodation strategy to keep pace with resourcing.”
