Trade fair opens doors for lead firm
The family business, which is based at Barbot Hall Industrial Estate in Rotherham, attended the Glasstec trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, after working with Rotherham Investment and Development Office (RiDO).
The firm, which dates back to 1770, took advantage of the European Regional Development Fund-backed project ‘Growth and Prosperity in Rotherham’ (Soft Landing Zone) to investigate overseas markets and opportunities.

Hide AdMarc Briscoe, general manager of Heaps, Arnold & Heaps, said: “We had a fantastic response at Glasstec. It was the first time we had attended an overseas exhibition and we had a number of enquiries for our Lead Came range, which is used in stained glass windows and leaded light design.
“We had a large number of enquiries at the exhibition with many already converting into sales, which has been a huge boost to our overseas business.”
For the trade show, Heaps, Arnold & Heaps needed product literature in a number of different languages, including French, German, Spanish and Arabic, and RiDO helped with the translation of the information.
