School’s sporting stars prove they are academic achievers as well
Tennis player Georgia Craven, Olympic diver Hannah Starling and pentathlete Nuala Price, all from the Grammar School at Leeds, were celebrating after receiving their results yesterday.
Tennis star Georgia scooped four A*s in economics, further maths, maths and physics.

Hide AdShe also achieved an A* in the extended project qualification, which is the equivalent of half an A-level.
Georgia, from Scarcroft, who will study maths, operations research, statistics and economics at Warwick University, was playing tennis at a national level while studying for her A-Levels.
She is currently ranked 46th in the UK and fifth in Yorkshire. When Georgia was 16, she competed in the juniors at Wimbledon just days after completing her GCSEs and also achieved the coveted British number one ranking at under U18 level.
Olympic diver Hannah was delighted with her three As in chemistry, maths and physics. She will now take up a place at Leeds University where she will study maths and continue with her diving training.

Hide AdHannah, from Alwoodley, competed in the London 2012 Olympics and now has her sights set on Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Pentathlete Nuala, from Horsforth, also notched up three straight As. Her grades in geography, history and politics and government secured her a place at Bristol University to study geography. She has been competing in the modern pentathlon since the age of 11.
