After the Leeds Festival, fans make a very clean getaway
Last year, torrential rain had left Bramham Park a mudbath and as festival-goers travelled through Leeds, the station and streets nearby were covered with dirt and discarded boots.
This year, special hard-wearing paths had been put in place at the festival site but the weather was kinder, with sunshine amongst the showers.

Hide AdAfter the 2013 mudbath, organiser Festival Republic agreed to pay a contribution towards Leeds City Council’s clean-up costs.
It is believed a similar arrangement was in place for this year’s festival, if needed.
A clean-up was also underway at Bramham Park, where charities were today set to pick up some of the tents and camping gear left behind by the festival’s 80,000 visitors.
The scheme is run by Leeds not-for-profit organisation Everything is Possible which helps disadvantaged young people.
