Berwick plots a panto success
It is Mr Kaler’s fourth time playing Widow Twankey in a career that has seen him take to the stage in 41 pantomimes, 35 of them at York – earning him a claim to the title of Britain’s longest-serving dame.
The actor, who also wrote and directed the production, said: “As always it will have all the makings of a traditional family panto, with plenty of lunacy and madness. The really exciting thing this year is we have a script and a plot.”
