Comedy raises more than a laugh
Money raised during the Sheffield Student Comedy Festival, organised by "The Shrimps", will now be split between two charities – the South Yorkshire Eating Disorder Association and Sheffield Nightline, a student-run telephone advice and counselling service.
Daniel Pennells, chairman of The Shrimps and a third-year medical student, said: "The festival was a massive success with loads of students and acts coming down to enjoy a fantastic weekend of comedy.

"The festival is about getting as many students involved in comedy as possible and I feel that we really achieved that this year. I want to make sure it keeps going."
Next years Sheffield Student Comedy Festival is set to be held from February 25 to 27.
