Houses evacuated as bomb squad called to suspected explosives haul in Selby
Bomb disposal experts have been called to deal with explosives believed to have been found in a rural outbuilding in North Yorkshire.
Officers from North Yorkshire Police were called to an outbuilding at Railway Cottages, in Barlow, Selby, today at around 9am.
A member of the public alerted police to what is thought to be a quantity of explosive material.

Hide AdA police cordon has been put in place and neighbouring properties have been evacuated while army bomb disposal experts make their way to the scene.
A police spokesman said: “The army’s bomb disposal unit has been contacted to ensure the material is safely dealt with.”
