Retired police officer Det Supt Ray Galloway, who led the hunt for missing York chef Claudia Lawrence, is assisting the investigation and interviewing witnesses. Last year it was revealed that six people had contacted Leeds hospital bosses about incidents involving the former presenter.
The independent investigation team says its inquiries will continue in private until September, before its final report is published as requested by Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt at a later date.
Linda Pollard, chairman of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, told a meeting of hospital directors: “I am having regular conversations with the panel that has been set up and it is moving at a pace now.”
