The woman, who is not a relative of the 16-year-old, was last night being treated in hospital where she was said to be in a stable condition and speaking to detectives.
As the search continued police advised local schools to take precautions. Pupils at Snaith School who usually take the school bus home to Carlton, Camblesforth and Selby, were kept at school for parents to come and pick them up.
Detective Chief Inspector Allan Harder, who is leading the investigation, confirmed this morning that the boy had now been found and remained in police custody.
