Firm wins 25-year roads contract
The £2bn highways project is set to get under way this summer.
Over the next five years, every road, pavement and streetlight in Sheffield will be brought up to standard. Amey will then maintain those roads over the remaining 20 years of the contract.

Hide Ad“This will consign to history the pothole reputation that Sheffield has had”, council chief executive John Mothersole said yesterday.
He added: “This is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to refurbish the roads, pavements and streetscene across the whole city.”
Meanwhile, a milestone has also been reached in the development of the Finningley and Rossington regeneration route scheme in Doncaster, with the submission of a planning application.
