Fog prevents helicopter salvage effort
Foggy conditions and the location of the crash close to cliffs meant inspectors from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB), who are leading the investigation, were unable to recover the wreckage of the helicopter yesterday, a spokesman said.
Humberside Police, who are working alongside the AAIB, are today expected to name the two men who died.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud “crack” before watching the helicopter plummet into the sea below sheer 250ft cliffs.
The bodies were recovered shortly before 5pm, more than three hours after the accident.
A search-and-rescue Sea King helicopter from RAF Leconfield and RNLI crews from Flamborough and Bridlington were involved in the rescue attempt.
