Future looks bright on hospice's 25th anniversary
The jazz outfit from York University will be performing at the sell-out Sunflower Ball, which is aiming to raise tens of thousands of pounds for the St Leonard's Hospice.
The ball, which is held every two years, is one of the major fundraising events for the hospice and will be staged at York Racecourse on Saturday, April 24. The last event, which was held in 2008, raised more than 70,000 for the charity.

The university's jazz ensemble, with members of the Sunflower Ball Committee, will be led by Zezo Olimpio on the piano, who will be joined by trumpeter Matt Postle, trombonist Noah Nouch and saxophonist Joe Murgatroyd, with Gareth Taitt on bass and Dave Smyth on drums.
Fundraisers are appealing for sponsorship for a range of activities during the ball, ranging from a casino to flower displays. Anyone who can help should contact the St Leonard's Hospice fundraising centre on 01904 777777.
