Ikea plans go on show to the public
The two-day exhibition revealed further plans for the development, which would be next to the Meadowhall Retail Park in Sheffield Road, close to the M1 motorway.
The proposed store would create up to 400 new jobs, from assistant to manager level.

A spokesman for IKEA said: “We have been looking to open a store in Sheffield for many years.
“At present, customers from Sheffield have to travel to Leeds – a 70 mile round trip – or Nottingham – an 88 mile round trip – to shop with us.”
Before selecting the Sheffield Road site, the Swedish furniture giant reviewed several other potential sites in Sheffield, including city centre sites such as on The Moor and within St Mary’s Gate retail park.
