Lucy Hill: Leeds Beckett graduate still critical after road crash UPDATED
Backpacker Lucy Hill, 21, underwent emergency surgery over the weekend after her moped was in collision with a car in the city of Chiang Mai.
A social media appeal for tourists in Thailand to make donations of Lucy’s A negative blood type – which is extremely rare among people of Asian origin – was answered by dozens of volunteers on Monday.

Lucy’s dad, Phil Hill, also posted on Facebook that there had been “little change” to his daughter’s condition.
He added: “She may need further surgery and blood transfusions, we have to be patient and wait to see how she progresses.”
Mr Hill also praised the care his daughter was receiving in Chiang Mai’s Rajavej Hospital.
