New cancer charity trustee named
Dr Fisher, a thoracic oncologist who treats patients with lung tumours, is also the clinical director of specialised cancer services at Weston Park Hospital.
As a trustee, she becomes part of a team of unpaid experts who run the cancer charity and manage its finances. The charity aims to raise more than £1.2m each year to support Weston Park Hospital, one of just three purpose-built specialist cancer hospitals in the UK.

“It is a very important role as we rely on our trustees’ expert knowledge to support all aspects of our work and particularly to ensure that every penny given to the cancer charity is put to best use, caring for people living with cancer and researching causes into and the treatment of the disease.”
