New unit helps young cancer sufferers
The Teenage Cancer Trust said it plans to open a 150,000 specialist unit at Castle Hill Hospital, in Cottingham.
The plans include provision of a four-bed unit at the hospital's Queen's Centre for oncology and haematology, which will provide teenage patients with some of the best facilities and options in the country.

There are currently 17 units across the country, including three in Yorkshire, and the trust plans to build a further 16 so that all young people needing hospital treatment for cancer across Britain have access to dedicated, specialist support.
The charity said every day six young people are told they have cancer. It said the figure is rising and there are already more young people than children with the disease.
The 67m Queen's Centre opened in August 2008 and is a centre of excellence.
