Not berry clever... Max gulps down teaspoon with treat
The sweet-toothed pooch had eyes bigger than his belly when he tried the summer fruit, and ended up wolfing down a teaspoon as well.
It earned him an emergency trip to the vets where an X-ray showed the five-inch spoon lodged firmly inside his stomach.

Hide AdMax, 10, then had to undergo emergency surgery to remove it.
Owner Annette Robertshaw, from Wakefield, said the incident happened after her brother Colin came to visit and offered Max a strawberry on a teaspoon.
To their horror Max not only gulped the strawberry but the teaspoon as well.
He has now fully recovered but has apparently learned a lesson, and has been turning his nose up at the berries ever since his ordeal.

Hide AdMs Robertshaw, 47, added: “We don’t feed him anything on a spoon any more just in case.
“He doesn’t seem to be too interested in strawberries lately.”
PDSA veterinary surgeon Daniel Cook said: “I have never seen a dog that’s eaten a teaspoon before although we do see lots of odd things that dogs have eaten such as socks and children’s toys.”
He said pet owners should make sure animals are fed out of their own bowls to avoid any mishaps and warned them not to feed them human food because some, such as chocolate, can be highly poisonous to them.
