A new chapter on Bookshop Day; here’s why – The Yorkshire Post says
Yet, while time has caught up with many such stores in recent years, it’s heartening that this year has witnessed the opening of a new emporium, Kemps Books, in Malton and that so many events are planned across this region to coincide with Bookshop Day this Saturday.
And with the best stores containing as many mysteries as the best crime thrillers, one by-product of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown has been an increased appreciation and awareness of books and how they can both educate and entertain.

Hide AdIn this regard, let’s hope that this is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the county’s bookshops as people realise the ‘use it or lose’ maxim is for real and not a work of fiction.
