Egg protester utterly shameful to target King Charles at Micklegate Bar - Yorkshire Post Letters
It is the democratic right of all who live in this great nation of ours to be able to exercise the right to protest.
However, the scene at Micklegate Bar on Wednesday of eggs being thrown at The King appals and saddens me.

Protest by all means but, do it responsibly if you must.
Meanwhile, amid all of this His Majesty and Queen Consort and Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire maintained their dignity throughout - as one would expect.
And the bodyguards and officials as well as those gathered in close proximity and in direct line of fire of these missiles carried on with the business of ensuring The King's walkabout continued without further ado.
It is utterly shameful that a person or persons stoop to such levels in the name of ‘protesting’ and, as such, deserve no place in any society.
