Obituary: Jenny Dunster, theatrical agent
Jenny Dunster, who has died at 71, was a Sheffield born dancer who became one of the country’s leading entertainment agents.

But it was as a dancer that she began her career, having trained at the Bart-Smith Dance School near her home and then the Bush Davies School of Theatre Art.
After moving to London, she worked in theatre, television, film and corporate events, appearing at several of the West End’s most prestigious venues, not least the Talk of the Town.
On retiring from dancing, she moved to entertainment agency work, representing the band Bucks Fizz when they won the Eurovision Song Contest.

As a producer, she put on shows for such clients as Virgin Atlantic, Las Vegas Tourist Authority, Top Shop and Retail Trust, and arranged more than 50 international stage presentations for the Mall of the Emirates.
But she never lost her fondness for dancing, and she remained the booking agent for several Strictly Come Dancing professionals.
In addition to her work with the Agents’ Association, she served on the Variety and Light Entertainment Council for two decades.
