Trapped horse called Esmerelda rescued by firefighters in Yorkshire
Firefighting crews have come to the rescue of a horse called Esmerelda who became trapped in her horsebox with her legs stuck over the partition.
The 12-year-old mare was released at Escrick yesterday at 3pm, and left in the care of her owner and a vet.
Crews in Skipton, meanwhile, rescued a chick from the side of a house. They helped to re-nest the animal with the RSPCA.
In Colburn, crews also helped a boy to the ground after he became stuck in a basketball hoop.
