Police to provide 'reassuring presence' at travellers' camp on cricket club land
POLICE IN North Yorkshire are to provide a 'reassuring presence' at a cricket club where travellers' caravans have been parked.
The force said it was "working with local partners" after the caravans appeared on land at Whitley Bridge Cricket Club in Eggborough, near Selby.
A spokesperson said: "We know there are concerns in the local community and we are doing all we can to address them while ensuring the rights of everyone are taken into account.
