YP Letters: Careers advice for young has been left in ruins
BRAVO Nic Dakin for launching the Careers Guidance (Access to Schools) Bill last week.
Everything in his article (The Yorkshire Post, March 2) is so true.

I worked as a careers adviser in both Humberside and South Yorkshire until recently and have witnessed the wholesale massacre of a service which could have been improved upon, rather than brutally dismantled by funding cuts and faulty government policies.
I despair for the current generation of school leavers who are not being provided with good, impartial advice as a matter of course.
I also applaud the efforts of a few dedicated individuals, and schools with a conscience, who are struggling to ensure our young people get the information they need to make well informed decisions about their futures.
We should act quickly to reverse the damage that is without a doubt being incurred and Government should listen carefully to what experts like Nic Dakin have to say on the subject.
