Queen gets muddy with Peppa Pig
And the royal guest star is even seen joining in Peppa’s favourite activity, donning her wellies and jumping in muddy puddles.
The show – to be screened next month – is designed to get young viewers involved in Jubilee activities. The Queen’s appearance marks the first time a human character has featured in the series.

Hide AdIn the episode, Peppa’s pal Miss Rabbit is selected to receive an award for her hard work and brings along her friends to the palace for her once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The edition will be screened on Channel 5’s Milkshake! strand on June 4, and there will be a Jubilee party in the studio. It will also be screened on Nick Jr later that day and released on DVD a few days earlier, on May 21.
A book based on the episode, entitled Peppa Meets The Queen, is also being published by Ladybird today.
Peppa Pig producer Phil Davies said: “We hope that everyone enjoys watching the episode as much as we enjoyed making it and that it gets children into the Jubilee party spirit.”

Hide AdMeanwhile Wallace and Gromitcreator Nick Park has created a “cracking” short film to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. It features the pair preparing to mark the royal celebrations.
Bristol-based animator Park at Aardman Studios teamed up with the National Trust to make the film, A Jubilee Bunt-a-thon which shows Wallace and Gromit scaling ladders to hoist the bunting up around a magnificent Trust manor.
