Homes evacuated after grenade found in village
Explosives experts were called to Newbigg at Westwoodside, North Lincolnshire, at 5pm after the potentially live device was found during renovations to a property.
Humberside Police put up a cordon around the home and people living in neighbouring properties were asked to leave as a precaution.

Hide AdThe Explosives Ordnance Disposal Unit was called in to investigate the grenade, which was not thought to be a modern device.
The residents were allowed back into their homes later in the evening after the grenade was safely disposed of.
During the incident, roads were closed in the Newbigg and Commonside areas, causing traffic disruption during the rush hour.
A spokesman for Humberside Police thanked the public for their patience.
