Search abandoned for man who ‘fell in Humber’
Humberside Police’s underwater rescue team searched the river this morning and officers walked the banks close to St Andrew’s Quay, now a shopping centre.
The inshore rescue boat Humber Rescue was launched in “horrendous” conditions at 7pm on Sunday, along with the RAF search and rescue helicopter, after a member of the public raised the alarm. They were stood down after two hours.
No one has been reported missing to the police.
