True blue: Andrea bids to oust Labour big hitter
Andrea Jenkyns, 39, the daughter of a former lorry driver, has been selected by the Conservative Party as its candidate in Morley and Outwood – one of the region’s most marginal seats. Mr Balls clung on in 2010 with a tiny majority, after an all-out Tory assault. The Conservatives have again identified the seat as one of their top targets next time round.
Miss Jenkyns, a Tory councillor in Lincolnshire, said: “I come from a regular working Yorkshire family, and know the difficulties of having to juggle a number of jobs and commitments to make ends meet.

Hide AdThe chairman of Morley and Outwood Conservatives, Simon Wilson, added: “This is one of the most marginal seats in the country and Andrea is a candidate who can take on Ed Balls and win.”
Mr Balls was out on the streets yesterday preparing for the London Marathon.
