UPDATED: Man surrenders to armed police in Huddersfield
Police were called to a house in the Moldgreen area just after 2.30pm after receiving reports that a man had smashed up a car on Rosedale Avenue and was making threats and being aggresive inside a house on the street.
Further reports suggested that the man may have armed himself with a weapon, thought to be a knife.

Hide AdRoads in the aea were closed and West Yorkshire Police deployed armed officers to the scene, who negotiated the man’s surrender.
A 26-year-old woman who was in the house was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Chif Insp Ian Gayles of Kirklees District Police, said “At 6.15pm the 24-year-old man left the property after officers negotiated his surrender.
“The man was arrested by police on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and breach of bail. He remains in custody this evening.
