Racing driver Dario Franchitti said it was “humbling” to see his prize cars amongst a fleet of supermotors worth £100 million at the Queen’s Scottish residence.
The IndyCar champion was speaking in Edinburgh where more than a thousand people gathered to witness this year’s Concours of Elegance car show at Holyrood Palace The three-day event features a spectacular collection of rare classic motors from the 1900s onwards with a collective value of more than £100 million. The first event of its kind was held in the grounds of Windsor Castle in 2012 to celebrate the Queen’s diamond jubilee and it has steadily gained a large following across the UK.
