Video: Pudsey centre sealed off after car smashes through jeweller’s window
AN elderly driver had to be extracted from his car by firefighters today after he hit the door of a jewellery shop.
Pudsey town centre was brought to a standstill for nearly an hour after the crash at 11.37am in Lidgett Hill.
Police said a Peugeot 306 had collided with the door of Deans Fine Jewellers leaving behind a pile of plate glass debris.
Both the driver and passenger were unhurt and no-one else was injured. The area between Church Lane and Cemetery Road was closed off for 40 minutes whfile emergency services cleared the scene.
