Woman’s body found following late-night swim in River Aire at Shipley
A forensic post mortem examination was due to be conducted to determine the cause of death of the woman who is believed to be in her early 20s and from the Bradford area.
She was found at 10am by specialist officers who were searching the River Aire in Shipley after a tip off to police that she had got into difficulties there.

Hide AdPolice believe she had entered the water just after 1.45am on Monday with another man who escaped.
Detectives are now appealing for help from the public in investigating related reports of two burglaries in the same area in the early hours of Monday.
One of the offences was reported to have occurred at around 12.40am at a flower shop on Bingley Road and the other is alleged to have taken place at the Boathouse pub on Victoria Road at 1.45am
Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour near these premises at either of these times.

Hide AdTwo Bradford men aged 25 and 30 have been arrested in connection with one of the alleged burglaries and are in custody.
Chief Inspector Mabs Hussain of Airedale and North Bradford Police, said: “This is clearly a tragic incident in which a young woman has lost her life.”
