The bottle is made from switch grass, pine bark, corn husks and other materials.

Hide AdUltimately, Pepsi plans to also use orange peel, oat husks, potato scraps and other leftovers from its food business.
The new bottle looks, feels and protects the drink inside exactly the same way as its current bottles, said a spokesman for the company.
Pepsi said it is the world’s first bottle of a common type of plastic called PET where the raw ingredients all come from plant-based materials.
Coca-Cola currently produces a bottle using 30 per cent plant-based materials and recently estimated it would be several years before it would have a 100 per cent plant bottle.
