York detectives release image of suspect as they investigate three knifepoint robberies
In the first, a man and a woman were walking along Newborough Street at about 11.45pm last Friday when they were approached by three men riding bikes from the direction of Shipton Street.
One of the trio head-butted the male victim in the face, produced a knife and demanded the man's wallet.

Hide AdThe victim, who was aged in his 20s, walked away without anything being taken but needed hospital treatment for a facial injury.
During the second incident, which took place very soon afterwards, a man was approached on Grosvenor Road by three men on bicycles.
One of them produced a knife and demanded the victim hand over his wallet.
The victim, who was aged in his 20s, did as he was asked and the three men cycled off towards Scarborough Terrace.

Hide AdThe stolen wallet was brown leather and contained cash and bank cards.
In the third incident, seconds later, two men were approached on Grosvenor Terrace by three men on bikes.
One suspect threatened the men with a knife, before heading off towards the A19 at the end of Grosvenor Terrace on their bikes.
No one was injured and no property was taken.
Officers from York Neighbourhood Policing Team have been conducting extra reassurance patrols in the area as the investigation into the robberies continues.

Hide AdToday they issued e-fit images of one of the men, based on descriptions given by victims in the first two incidents.
