Crucible latest: Higgins triumphs in Sheffield
Selby romped to a convincing 10-1 victory today against qualifier Jimmy Robertson.
Crucible debutant Robertson actually won the first frame of their contest, before Selby hit back to reel off 10 successive frames.

Hide AdElsewhere, Mark Williams started his second-round match in impressive style as he took a 7-1 lead over Jamie Cope.
In the evening session, John Higgins returned to conclude his first-round meeting with Stephen Lee, leading 6-3.
He took the opening two frames of the evening’s play, including a 124 clearance, before Lee replied with breaks of 101 and 48 to go into the mid-session interval leading 8-5.
But Higgins was not to be denied as he knocked off the two remaining frames needed to win 10-5.
