Paynter hoping to deliver Keepmoat goals to bring back winning feeling
Dean Saunders’s side sit handily placed in League One, just one win adrift of the play-offs with a game in hand.
Rovers have won four games this term but with only one of those having come at the Keepmoat, Saunders will be looking for his side to make home advantage pay against Preston North End.

Hide AdPaynter was a late substitute in the victory at Leyton Orient last Saturday after a spell on the sidelines following his summer switch from Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.
But the striker seems set to come in to the starting XI due to Iain Hume, whose first goal came in the 2-0 win at Brisbane Road, not being available under the terms of his loan switch from Deepdale.
Paynter, with one goal to his name for Rovers, is hoping to enjoy a return similar as fruitful as his last at this level when he netted 29 goals for Swindon Town in 2009-10.
The striker, who netted the only goal of his first season at Elland Road against Preston, said: “Because some of us, including myself, didn’t arrive until the season had almost started, we have had to gel together during games rather than in pre-season.
