Fixture pile-up sends Doncaster Rovers to Cambridge United at eight days' notice
The Us called off the original December 30 meeting because of a Covid-19 outbreak within their squad.
Having knocked Newcastle United out of the FA Cup and with their continued involvement in the Football League Trophy, the fixtures are piling up for Mark Bonner's team, and the league was anxious to see the game played as soon as possible so it will now be on January 18 at 7.45pm, giving Rovers supporters eight days' notice to make the necessary travel arrangements.

Rovers are nine points adrift of safety, beset by injuries and in need of reinforcements but time is limited if they are to get them in before the trip to the Abbey Stadium.
