Gossip Column (03/02/16): Leeds to secure Lafferty | Kike could still leave Boro | Town signing happy to escape
Leeds are likely to secure Kyle Lafferty on loan from Norwich once the emergency loan window opens next week.
Lafferty’s move to Sion broke down last week, which means he is likely to be available, especially after the Canaries secured Steven Naismith during the January transfer window.

Hide AdAccording to Talksport, Leeds are hopeful of tying up the move for Lafferty in the next few days.
It would help Lafferty play ahead of this summer’s European Championship, where he will almost certainly play for Northern Ireland after scoring seven goals in qualification.
Kike’s move to Eibar from Middlesbrough collapsed on deadline day, but there is reason to believe it could be resurrected.
The Northern Echo reports that due to the complex nature of the negotiations that took place towards the 11pm deadline on Monday, the deal could still be ratified.

Elvis Manu may have only joined Huddersfield Town on a six-month loan on Monday, but he is already open about the fact that he is happy to have left Brighton.
Manu has only made nine appearances from the bench in the league, starting once in the FA Cup.
The loanee said: “I once asked (manager Chris Hughton) why am I here?
“I always get the answer that I must be patient and must continue to train hard. Brighton and I do not have a happy marriage.”
