Hit or miss? Who made the grade for Leeds United on their Premier League return against Manchester City
Meslier: Made an important save in the first 35 seconds to thwart Haaland and another on the half-hour. Fully underlined his importance. No blame on him. Kept the score down. 8
Kristensen: Warmed to the task against Grealish, who did not fancy it against him in a physical sense. Denied a third goal for Gundogan. Could have been worse. 6

Hide AdCooper: Onus on him to talk, organise and lead. His and Koch’s error ended the game as a competitive entity. 5
Koch: Him and Cooper could not rest for a second with Haaland around. They fatally erred early in the second. 5
Struijk: One error in the first half nearly led to a goal. Some sloppy defensive moments at times. Did score a well-taken consolation, mind. 6
Roca: Committed enough yes, but careless on the ball at key junctures. A chastening night. 4

Hide AdForshaw: Got through some tidy work on his return early on, before fading as City opened Leeds up. 5
Greenwood: Kept his discipline well enough and did impact things going forward in last 25. Set up goal. 6
Aaronson: Looked up for the fight at least and a hive of industry. Played through the middle in a 4-3-3 and emptied the tank. 6
Gnonto: Fired Leeds’ sole first-half chance well over. Got in a kerfuffle with Grealish. 6
Rodrigo: Little to feed off. Did a lot of chasing. 5
