Ratings: How Barnsley FC players fared against Chelsea
Collins: Would have been expecting to be busier, much busier. Instead this was a routine night. Had little to do. 6
Sibbick: Replays showed he was fortunate not to concede a first-half penalty after challenging Abraham. Other than that, he was on message. 7

Hide AdHelik: Posted a threat in the box and made some timely clearances and was very solid. 8
Andersen: A real success story over the past year and showcased his development against very good opponents. 8
Brittain: Trademark energy and intent. But he could have been the hero. 6
Kane: Did not look intimidated with a host of stellar names around him. Produced some good stuff and his work ethic was excellent. 7

Hide AdMowatt: Was the leader of the band for Barnsley in a dominant first half. Such an important player for them. 8
Styles: Had to be alert to keep his eye on Hudson-Odoi. But this was another night where he emptied the tank and showed why he is such a promising young talent. 7
Chaplin: Relentless in the press and expended a great deal of energy. 7
Adeboyejo: Disciplined without the ball, but could not make a telling impact in the final third. Work-rate unstinting. 6

Hide AdWoodrow. No chances, but linked play intelligently. Would have loved to be on the end of Brittain's couple of chances. 6
Substitutes unused: Dike (Adeboyejo 59). Handed his debut from the bench and will be better for the half hour. 6
Frieser (Chaplin 59). Could not produce the chance that Barnsley craved. 6
J Williams (Brittain 72), 6.
Palmer (Kane 72), 6.
Sollbauer (Sollbauer 76). So nearly equalised with his first involvement. 6
Not used: Walton, Oduor, Moon, Thompson
