Video: Barnsley recall on cards for Aidy White
White is to return to training today after being out with an injury sustained in the derby win over Doncaster Rovers on February 23 and will be assessed by the club’s medics.
The Easter programme against Scunthorpe United on Friday and Port Vale on Bank Holiday Monday comes too soon for James Bree, even though he is ‘progressing well’ from a hamstring problem.
But Marley Watkins (calf) is out.

Hide AdHead coach Heckingbottom said: “Aidy is back in training and James Bree is progressing really well with his hamstring, although we have got to be cautious.
“Marley has still not shaken off his dead calf and he’s going to see a specialist today and hopefully get some relief, but he’s not available at the minute.
“The squad is obviously smaller with the lads away on international duty as well, but it’s an opportunity for people.
“We know we have got a good 11 whoever we put out and it’s about people stepping up and staking their claim.”

Hide AdInternational commitments mean the Reds will be without Lloyd Isgrove, Callum Connolly and Ashley Fletcher for the home game with Iron tomorrow.
Fletcher, who has scored four goals in 14 games on loan from Manchester United, has been named in the England under 20 squad to face Canada at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium on Easter Sunday.
Right-back Connolly has been selected in the England under 19s team for the elite round of the UEFA Under 19s European Championship in Spain.
