Relegation-haunted Rovers face a daunting home clash with in-form leaders Wigan on Saturday, with Ferguson conscious that his side may have to win their last five games to give themselves hope of survival - but he is not throwing the towel in either.
Ferguson said: “You always need a bit of luck; no matter what you do.

Hide Ad“We are not going to put it (our situation) down to luck, but we are due a bit, I feel.
“You have to make sure you work hard enough to get that wee bit of luck you might need and hopefully that can turn things.”
On his side’s parlous position, he added: “For everyone connected to the football club - the staff, players, fans and board - it’s a difficult time.
“We have to keep the belief and still believe we can manage to turn it around somehow.”

Hide AdFerguson says that goalkeeper Remi Matthews is back in the fray after suffering blurred vision in the weekend loss at Bury, while fellow loanee Riccardo Calder has a chance of featuring according to Ferguson.
Paul Keegan remains sidelined.
