Forward thrust keeps Huddersfield in hunt
Scrum-half Joel Hinchliffe and centre Mike Clark scored the tries to add to two conversions and three penalties by fly-half Tom Hodson, making the half-time score 23-3.
Despite losing a man to the bin and conceding a try in the third quarter, Huddersfield showed their resilience, Ben Mitchell scoring a try and Adam Sutcliffe grabbing two in eight minutes.

Third-placed Sandal had a bonus-point victory wrapped up by half-time in their 51-20 success at home to Firwood Waterloo.
They were 29-3 up by the interval with tries from winger Jake Mulhern, flanker James Stuart, full-back James Ellar and prop Luke Norbury.
Second-row Austen Thompson and scrum-half Max Whittingham went on to dot down in the second half, while Norbury scored a second and fly-half Greg Wood added five conversions and two penalties.

Hide AdMorley suffered their second successive defeat, going down 44-32 at home to Bradford and Bingley.
After leading 11-3, with winger Simon Bradshaw scoring a try, some poor tackling allowed the visitors in for two quick scores to snatch the half-time lead. Bradford went on to score four second-half tries to the Maroons’ two.
A poor first-half display cost Beverley dear as they crashed to a 20-17 defeat at Percy Park.
The home side took a 14-0 interval lead with two converted tries by wing forward Liam Scott and centre Guy Pike.
