Howard quick off mark to win his first professional title in Aberdeen
Howard claimed the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour’s Paul Lawrie Foundation Granite City Classic title at Newmachar GC.
The 24-year-old carded a final-round 70, two under par, for a 15-under 54-hole tournament aggregate, one ahead of Kirkhill’s Paul Shields.

Hide AdBooth shot 69 69 71, and only had seven pars in an adventurous last round which also featured six birdies and five bogeys.
Campbell (71 71 67) had three birdies and an eagle 3 in his closing round. Uzzell also closed with a 67, recording five birdies.
Sheffield’s James Maw (68 71 71) and Doncaster’s Graeme Clark (73 67 70) were tied 22nd.
Maw birdied three holes in a row from the 9th, followed by four bogeys and two more birdies. Clark’s 70 was more sedate, including a pair of bogeys and twice as many birdies.
Moor Allerton’s Joe Heraty was tied 29th (70 70 71) after a closing round which included two birdies and just the one blemish on his card.
