BEDALE’S Daniel Brown and Lindrick’s Jonathan Thomson both sat tied fourth after the first round of the TGH Dutch Junior Open, at Toxandria GC in Holland.
Brown and Thomson shot one-under-par 71 and a third Yorkshire county player, Thomson’s Lindrick club-mate Joe Dean, a 72.
A three-under back nine of 33, which included birdies at holes 11, 14 and 18, helped Brown to his 71.
Thomson birdied three of his last five holes for his one-under round while Dean, who had started the back nine with a double bogey 6 repaired that damage with an eagle 3 at the 17th.
