Throw in wins for Sheffield Wednesday, in League One, and Rotherham United in League Two and it was a good weekend for the region.
The only dark clouds were over Huddersfield Town, who lost at Oldham in League One, and 10-man Bradford City who slipped to League Two defeat at Wycombe.

Luciano Becchio (66, 70, 83) scored a hat-trick to earn Leeds victory. Jon Stead (68) netted Town's consolation.
Millwall 0 Sheffield United 1
New signing Andy Reid (29) found the net for Blades, and a much-needed three points.
Portsmouth 2 Doncaster Rovers 3

Hide AdDavid Healy grabbed a late winner after Doncaster tossed away a two-goal lead. Rovers went in front through James Hayter (15) and James Coppinger (26) before Ward (66) and David Nugent (74) equalised.
