Tom Pidcock completes road, cyclo-cross and mountain bike triple world crown
Pidcock, who has signed to race on the road for the Ineos Grenadiers from next year, followed up Wednesday’s E-MTB title with another rainbow jersey as he won by one minute 52 seconds from American Christopher Blevins.
The title comes at the end of a year in which the 21-year-old finished second at the Cyclo-Cross World Championships in Dubendorf back in February, and won the ‘Baby Giro’ – the under-23 Giro d’Italia – on the road at the start of September.

Pidcock, who rode strongly in his debut World Championships on the road last month in Imola, wants to keep competing across disciplines once he moves to Ineos, but will be moving on from the under-23 categories.
“It’s super nice to finish on a high, and to end the season like that,” said Pidcock.
“It’s more a relief than anything. People said I could have raced in the elite race this weekend, but I wanted to end my time as an under-23 on a high and I don’t need to look back now, I can just move up to the elites.”
