Phillips switches to Toledo
Phillips, from Hull, made history last year when he became the first British-trained defenceman to play in the American Hockey League with the Rockford IceHogs, affiliate to this year's 2010 Stanley Cup winners, the Chicago Blackhawks.
He went on to record six assists in 52 games and ended the season with a +/- rating of +14, the second highest on the roster.

Toledo announced on Boxing Day that they had signed the 23-year-old Yorkshireman as a free agent after the Wolves had released Phillips from his contract.
