Into the unknown for Hull KR’s Ryan Hall against Leeds Rhinos
The England international, 33, is a Rhinos legend, having scored 232 tries in 327 games for them and won six Grand Finals, the Challenge Cup twice and the World Club Challenge.
He left at the end of 2018 and, after two injury-hit years with the Sydney Roosters, is back in Super League with Rovers, who host Leeds tomorrow.

Hide AdAsked about the prospect of taking on his home-town club, Hall replied: “Obviously, I knew I’d be asked this – and I thought about how I’d answer.
“But I don’t know. I don’t know how to answer it! It is quite a few years since I was there, but I spent most of my career there.
“Plenty have gone through this scenario before – they might have a different take – but until it kicks off and I’ve to make a tackle or run into someone, I’m not sure how I will feel.”
Hall scored a hat-trick on his KR debut in the Golden Point loss against Catalans Dragons and picked up his first win with them with Friday’s 25-24 success over Huddersfield Giants.

“I’m still getting back used to the competition as it is different in style to the NRL.
“With no scrums, getting used to the set restarts was a bit unusual. Here, on any play, you have to expect an offload which didn’t really happen over there much. But I’m enjoying it.”
Fit-again Leeds winger Ash Handley – who has excelled as Hall’s replacement – has extended his contract until the end of 2024.
