Hide AdBantams manager Taylor said: "I think it will be closer than usual this season. Notts County were always going to do well last year but I don't think there is anyone who can say that this time. It is more of an even playing field and that gives everyone hope.
"We have a tough start, with Shrewsbury, Stevenage and Torquay all likely to be strong this season. But we have a decent squad and I expect us to do well. Normally, I have done well on the opening day – though I didn't last season (Wycombe lost 3-2 at Charlton)."
